How it happened
The Terra Sky One Loft Race puts every competitor's young birds under the same handler, on the same feed, in the same loft. Nobody gets an advantage from their own training program — the bird either has it or it doesn't.
Shiny Eevee came home first in the final race and also finished the series as the fastest bird on average speed, a combination that rewarded $7,750 in prize money in 2024.
For me the average speed title mattered as much as the win. It says the bird performed across the whole series, not on one lucky day with a favourable wind.
The family behind the bird
Shiny Eevee comes out of the European genetics at the core of the loft — the Porsche 911 and Black Power side of the family that I've been building on for years. Winning both the final and the average speed in the same series is the clearest signal a breeding pair can give you.
